Meals on Wheels Driver/ Department: Elderly Nutrition Program: Reporting to the Transportation Coordinator, the Meals on Wheels Driver is responsible for the delivery of meals to seniors in the Greater New Bedford Area.
Duties: Keep delivery route sheet accurate and up to date. Identify meal components and understand client diet information. Keep vehicle clean and fueled. Collecting and turning in, to the office, funds from home delivered meals clients using an anonymous envelope system. Maintain a warm, patient and resourceful personality towards seniors while displaying an understanding and sympathetic attitude. Notify office if the client does not answer the door or if any other problems are discovered. Must be alert to changes in seniors health, attitude and general well-being.
Other Requirements: Must be in reasonably good health and physically fit, as duties require going in and out of homes, climbing stairs, etc. Must have ability to pass written sanitation certificate exam, as required. Attend in service training outside of regularly scheduled hours. Inform Transportation Coordinator of mechanical problems with delivery truck. May be required to perform other duties as needed. A Massachusetts’s driver’s license and good driving record are required. Must be able to read, speak and write English.
Transportation Coordinator: Reporting to the Elderly Nutrition Program Director. The Full-Time Transportation Coordinator is responsible for assuring that all those involved in delivering meals receive supervision and direction. Assures meal delivery operates smoothly, safely, efficiently and in conformance with all regulations and standards. The successful leader will demonstrate dynamic leadership in resolving issues and be experienced in a high volume meal delivery service industry with a supervisory background. We are seeking a leader with great organizational skills, time management and critical thinking skills with a minimum of two years’ of experience in a supervisory capacity. Knowledge of elderly human services and community resources is favored. Must possess excellent written and verbal skills with basic computer skills. A High School diploma or equivalent is required. The honorable candidate must be dependable and make decisions that support the project goals of the Elderly Nutrition Program.
Food Service & Congregate Program Supervisor: Reporting to the Elderly Nutrition Program Director. The Full-Time Food Service & Congregate Program Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision for site managers, Senior Community Service Employment Program Participants, Meal Site Volunteers and be able to provide supervisory support in the absence of the Transportation Coordinator. The suitable candidate will need to have exceptional organization and decision-making abilities to provide practical guidance in handling of staffing shortfalls. We are looking for a great qualified candidate who is energetic, as well as capable of guiding and coordinating a group, while handling the daily administrative tasks and responsibilities of the Elderly Nutrition Program. A minimum of two years’ work experience in a managerial position is required, as well as excellent written, verbal and basic computer skills. The candidate must be ServSafe Certified; Allergen Certified and have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license with dependable transportation. A High School diploma or equivalent is required. A PCA Program Nurse will evaluate the consumer’s eligibility for programs with primary focus on the MassHealth PCA Program. The PCA Program Nurse will also assess the consumer’s ability to manage their PCA Program independently. Additionally, under the direction of the Director of PCA & Community Programs, the PCA Program Nurse will coordinate the PCA Program. Bi-lingual English and Spanish Geriatric Support Services Coordinator: Coastline is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Bi-lingual, English and Spanish speaking Geriatric Support Services Coordinator in the Senior Care Options Program. The selected Bi-lingual, English and Spanish GSSC candidate will report to the Senior Care Options Supervisor. The Bi-lingual, English and Spanish speaking Geriatric Support Services Coordinator will demonstrate dynamic leadership in assessing the client’s needs in order to provide and implement service plans on an on-going basis thru various communication systems. The qualified candidate must have a winning combination of professionalism, commitment and passion in working with the elderly. We are looking for a great suitable candidate who is knowledgeable with the philosophies of social work. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services and two years professional experience with elders over 60, with at least one year in a setting where elders received health care services. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required. A licensed Social Worker by ASAP or licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is essential. Systems Administrator: Coastline is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer. In view of organizational plans and objectives, the qualified candidate will demonstrate exceptional knowledge, skill and excellent understanding of current systems hardware, software and related infrastructure, as well as periodic evaluation of new technological advances. Strong organizational skills, analytical abilities and good time management are also required, along with exceptional interpersonal skills. The Systems Administrator will have daily interactions with administration and users for internal support of the PC’s, printers, communication equipment and related technology components. Issues, tasks, or projects related to these systems will be entered into a queue for prioritization and potential hand-off to Coastline’s external IT support firm. Working with the external IT support firm, the Systems Administrator will ensure all aspects of the network configuration, software licensing tracking, upgrades and maintenance are kept up to date. Maintenance of the SIMS data integrity is mandatory, along with creating reports from HAR and SAMS, plus training staff on the reports. We are looking for a great qualified candidate who is proficient in responding, identifying and resolving operating system issues associated with databases and IT support. An Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field with at least 4 years of experience preferred OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems OR (BIS) Management Information Systems with at least 2 years of experience preferred. Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+ Certification, N+, Security+, MCSA, and VCP. A significant amount of experience working in IT Systems Administration preferred. The ideal qualified candidate will skillfully and confidentially mange the server hardware, operating systems and procedures in alliance with the organizational standards and strategic business plan.
Supportive Living Coordinator: Reporting to the Home Care Program Manager. The Full-Time Supportive Living Coordinator will develop, coordinate and follow-up on a service plan or goals based on the assessment completed. The Coordinator must be dedicated, enthusiastic and a caring individual. The Coordinator will respond to requests for information and provide counseling regarding community-based services and supports. The Coordinator will need to assess the consumer’s needs for supportive services, as well as carry out their duties in conformance to the Agency’s policies, procedures, services to clients and the public. Where necessary the Coordinator will serve as a communication link with building management to identify resident concerns related to service needs and participate in implementing solutions. This position requires a reliable, highly organized and hard-working individual to operate in a fast-paced environment. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Portuguese preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Sociology or related field; social work license (LSW or higher) is preferred. Three to five years’ experience in a human services environment; excellent computer skills; ability to be flexible and proficient in interpersonal communication and customer relations.
