SUMMARY:Nutrition Check-Up Event at Rochester Senior Center
DESCRIPTION:Coastline will be hosting five free check-up events in May\, including this one at 11 a.m. on May 15 at Rochester Senior Center. Learn more about malnutrition and how to reduce your risk. Walk-ins are welcome. \nWhat is Malnutrition?\nMalnutrition is an imbalance between the nutrients your body needs to function and the nutrients it gets. It can mean undernutrition or overnutrition. One out of 2 older adults are at risk for malnutrition. \nWhy it Matters\nBeing malnourished can contribute to: \n\nWeakened immune system;\nPoor wound healing;\nIncreased risk of hospitalization;\nVitamin deficiencies;\nReduced GI function; and/or\,\nIncreased risk of death.\n\nThe first event will be held at noon\, May 20th at the Fairhaven Senior Center. \nAdditional events will be held: \n\nFairhaven Senior Center – May 20th @ 12pm\nTripp Towers\, New Bedford – May 21st @ 12:30pm\nAcushnet Senior Center – May29th @ 12pm\nDartmouth Senior Center – May 30th @ 1pm
