SUMMARY:Savvy Caregiver Program
DESCRIPTION:The Savvy Caregiver is a 12-hour training program delivered in two-hour sessions over a six-week period. \n\n\nThe program is focused on providing instructional material for Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers. The program teaches the basic knowledge\, skills and attitudes needed to handle the challenges of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease. Results have shown the training program reduces Alzheimer caregiver’s distress effectively. \nThe Savvy Caregiver Program will run from April 10 to May 15 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Dartmouth Council on Aging. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning\, eight-week Evidence-Based Program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.
