NUTRITION PROGRAM

PROUDLY SERVING NUTRITIOUS MEALS AT HOME IN THE COMMUNITY FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS

What can I expect?
You can expect healthy meals served by friendly, professional staff. Coastline strives to use fresh, local ingredients to create delicious meals that offer variety and flavor.

What is the cost?
We suggest a $2 voluntary donation for meals served at congregate sites or delivered to your home. However, no one is ever turned away because they are unable to contribute.

Where can I find the menu?
The menu is published in the Council on Aging Newsletters and on this website.

How do I get started?
Call Coastline at 508-999-6400. Kosher diet, renal diet, and puree diet specialty meals may be available. Please ask us for more information.

HOME DELIVERED MEALS

We provide home-delivered Meals on Wheels five days a week to individuals who are unable to leave their homes without difficulty. On some occasions, weekend and/or pureed meals are also available. To find out if you or a loved one is eligible for home-delivered meal service, please call Coastline at 508-999-6400.

You must be at home to receive your meal. We are not legally allowed to leave a meal outside of your home. If you need to cancel your meal for one day or several days, you must call Coastline at 508-999-6400 at least 24 hours in advance.

Every once in a while, due to a hurricane or severe snow storm, we have to cancel our meal delivery. In the event of severe weather, you can check our website or call our office to verify closing. We also announce closing on local cable and radio stations.

GET INVOLVED

Help make sure that no senior goes hungry. Volunteers are vital to the success of our program. If you have a little time and a big smile, you can make a difference in the life of a senior. Call 508-999-6400 for more information on volunteer opportunities with Coastline’s Nutrition Program.

Satisfaction survey

Click here to view the results from our latest satisfaction survey. Approximately 32% of individuals receiving meals from Coastline’s Nutrition Program responded to a survey that assessed the impact and quality of their meal service. We are happy to report that nearly all of the respondents reported that our meals help them eat healthier (93%) and would recommend the program to a friend (95%). The majority of respondents, whether they receive home-delivered meals or whether they attend a congregate meal site, said the program helps them feel less lonely and helps them save money on food.
