NURSING HOME OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM

NURSING HOME OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM

The Nursing Home Ombudsman Program matches community volunteers with area nursing homes.

The Ombudsman is a resident advocate, helping to ensure the quality of care, life and environment for people who live in nursing homes. Volunteers make weekly visits to the nursing home to listen to and assist in resolving any resident concerns.

Volunteers receive training and ongoing support and supervision.

For more information about becoming an ombudsman, please contact Donna Cabral at 508-742-9178 or by e-mail at dcabral@coastlinenb.org.
