Nutrition Check-Up Event at Center for Active Living in Dartmouth

Coastline will be hosting five free check-up events in May, including this one at 1 p.m. on May 30 at the Connor Center for Active Living in Dartmouth. Learn more about malnutrition and how to reduce your risk. Walk-ins are welcome.
What is Malnutrition?
Malnutrition is an imbalance between the nutrients your body needs to function and the nutrients it gets. It can mean undernutrition or overnutrition. One out of 2 older adults are at risk for malnutrition.
Why it Matters
Being malnourished can contribute to:
- Weakened immune system;
- Poor wound healing;
- Increased risk of hospitalization;
- Vitamin deficiencies;
- Reduced GI function; and/or,
- Increased risk of death.
The first event will be held at 11 a.m., May 15th at the Rochester Senior Center.
Additional events will be held:
- Rochester Senior Center – May 15th @ 11am
- Fairhaven Senior Center – May 20th @ 12pm
- Tripp Towers, New Bedford – May 21st @ 12:30pm
- Acushnet Senior Center – May 29th @ 12pm
