Savana Hilton and Gianna Almeida, l-r, write messages of gratitude and caring to be given to area veterans.

November is not the only time of year to let veterans know we appreciate them and care about their well-being.

At Coastline this month, two young volunteers decided to share their gratitude through handwritten and colorful messages to local veterans. Gianna Almeida and Savana Hilton, both 13 years-old, spent the day at Coastline creating inspiring messages that thanked veterans for their service. The girls brought their project to Coastline because Savana’s mother is Sylvia Nobre-Hilton, Chief Operating Officer, for the aging services access point.

Coastline has been blessed to receive several message-writing campaigns recently and pass them on to people we help. We know firsthand how these seemingly simple cards are valued and appreciated by those who receive them.

Thank you, Savana and Gianna, for your efforts!
