This month we checked in with various agencies from around the area to see how everyone’s adapting to the COVID-era.
We spoke with SHINE, the state’s Medicare assistance program, to see how they’re preparing for the upcoming open enrollment season. We also toured the New Bedford Art Museum and visited Coastal Foodshed’s Mobile Farm Stand, which joined Coastline’s Foster Grandparent volunteers in August.
And our cover story says it all: It’s time to fill out the 2020 Census.
The rollout of the 2020 Census was greatly impacted by the pandemic. Initially the U.S. Census Bureau had pushed its deadline for field operations from July 31 to Oct. 31. But in early August, the bureau announced the process was ending a month early.
This means that the deadline to fill out the 2020 Census is now Sept. 30.
The 2020 Census features more ways to answer the census than ever before. To answer online, visit: my2020census.gov.
