Thanks to good people like YOU, Coastline has been able to help older adults and individuals with disabilities live at home independently for more than 40 years.
But our community is now facing an unprecedented crisis. The global outbreak of COVID-19 is here in the South Coast, and that means we will need more support than ever as we continue to navigate this situation.
One thing is clear: this novel coronavirus greatly affects the health of those who are older and those who have underlying conditions. That means our neighbors are especially at risk. A large number of older citizens living throughout the Greater New Bedford region experience four or more chronic conditions, including diabetes and congestive heart failure, which means COVID-19 is not just a concern – it’s an existential threat.
As we prepare for the short-term and long-term impacts of this crisis, our work depends on you. The full extent of this outbreak is not yet known. Having support from our community will be essential to ensure that we can accommodate the needs of our neighbors in the days and weeks ahead.
