Join us on Older Adult Lobby Day!

Coastline staff and friends plus representatives from eight other Massachusetts aging-related organizations will meet at the State House on Feb. 27 to let legislators know our elders need their support. We’ll meet at 11 a.m. at the State House to hear from speakers before breaking into smaller groups and sharing our needs, data and stories with legislators.

Join us in person or add your voice by email or phone using the information and scripts provided. We’re asking that anyone who has a story to share, call or email during Lobby Day to show legislators the size and scope of the need that exists. Your voice could make the difference!

Use this statewide legislative directory to find contact information for your legislators and this tool from the Massachusetts Secretary of State for more information on your election information and where you vote.

If you want your voice to be heard by legislators but aren’t able to attend the Lobby Day, you can still tell your story! If you or a loved one has been personally affected by being a caregiver to your spouse, benefited from SHINE counseling, recognize the importance of Elder Mental Health, or receive Meals on Wheels, you can call or email your local legislators and tell your story!

You are your own best advocate, and your story could help gain legislative support for Mass Home Care’s priorities that are meaningful to you or your loved ones.

Coastline joins Mass Home Care, the state association for Aging Services Access Points, and its fellow ASAPs in supporting and advocating MHC’s legislative and budget priorities. Click below to download MHC fact sheets.
