Coastline is expressing its support for Mass Home Care’s recent position statement regarding a Class Action Suit filed by the Center for Public Representation to compel Massachusetts to stop unnecessary institutionalization of people with disabilities and charging Massachusetts with violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Medicaid Act. The nonprofit advocacy group represents 27 Aging Services Access Providers in the state, including Coastline.

In its statement, MHC outlines three “systemic solutions” that it is working to advance in the state, including Complex Care Management, Personal Care Homes and the Frail Elder Waiver (FEW) services and supports into Assisted Living Residences.

Coastline believes strongly that these solutions will be a benefit to older adults in our service area and throughout the state.
