The Rochester Council on Aging announced that Eric Poulin will become its next director, effective June 1.

Poulin previously worked with the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office where he served as the Program Manager for the Community Affairs Unit. In this role, Poulin worked on the prevention and reporting of elder abuse and financial fraud and other elder justice issues.

He has more than 20 years of experience with assisting older adults and has experience in grant writing, event planning, marketing, communications, public relations, and drafting local and state laws governing a host of issues including the food and beverage industry.

He served on the Boards of Bristol Elder Services, the Southeastern Alliance for Elders, and Samaritans. He has also served on Coastline’s Money Management Program. In addition, Poulin has been instrumental in organizing the Bristol County Celebration of Seniors, an annual resource fair cohosted by the District Attorney’s Office and Coastline.  [Click here for coverage from the previous Celebration of Seniors event.]
